Here we offer you a vintage Hardy Bouglé 3″ Heritage in line class 1-3.
The reel appears to be unfished, condition see pictures.
The Bouglé was built in this design for the first time in 1903. In the meantime the Hardy Bouglé has nearly the same legendary reputation as the Hardy Perfect.
It also runs on ball-bearings like the Perfect. This feature makes it one of the “smoothest” running reels ever constructed.
This models is also manufactured by the master Hardy Bros. craftsmen in Alnwick, England from a solid block of aluminium.
The pearl silver reel with its handpolished finish has a wide grip handle which is ivory coloured.
The reel axis and socket are made of marine brass. The reel has a click & pawl feather mechanism.
The surface of the reel is deep anodised. It has a rotating line guide and can easily be reversed from LHW to RHW.
Very nice engravings on both sides contribute to the classic style of the Bouglé.
The closed frame of the reel prevents thin leader tippets to slip through unintentionally.
The reel comes together with the original box, the original leather pouch lined with sheepskin, original papers and warranty card (not filled out).
