The “Charmer” is a two-piece, split cane flyrod made by italian rodbuilder Edoardo Scapin.
This rod series has a lot of finesse and is perfect for light trout fishing. Both design and taper of the rod are perfect for short and precise casting. The “Charmer” makes it easier to cast more accurately.
With a length of 7´6″ the “Charmer” is the ideal rod for fishing dry flies on small waters.
The offered model is #3 and has a honeytone finish. Edoardo only uses the best hardware available. The rod is equipped with Snake Brand Guides. The silk used is orange and perfectly matches the wooden spacer.
Each of these rods comes with a high quality rod sock and a aluminium rod tube.
About Edoardo Scapin:
Edoardo Scapin is a italian rodbuilder from Padua, close to Venice. He fishes with the fly since his 18th birthday.
He has been interested in split cane rods for a long time. Before starting to build rods he collected high end fly tackle. Doing this he developed the wish to build such a rod. Edoardo had no teacher. Instead he studied books and did a lot of “learning by doing”. This led to his first finished rod in 1992!
Since a couple of years Edoardo has been presenting his rods to a wider audience.
Many articles in the international flyfishing press made his rods well known within avid fly fisherman and split cane connaisseurs.
